Good-by, SE Alaska

Hmmm.  It seems we find ourselves with wifi coverage about once a week and sure enough here we are in a Prince Rupert, BC coffee shop which, of course, has wifi.  You can deduce that we have completed our visit in SE Alaska.  We spent exactly one month there.  We just had a wonderful time…spectacular scenery, better weather than expected, and no breakdowns for us…or the Molly Claire. Here are the pics from our final week in SE Alaskan waters :

Molly Claire continued to be dwarfed by the Alaskan landscape.  Here she's at anchor in Berg  Bay.

Molly Claire on her buoy in Walker Cove, Misty Fiords National Monument.
Another still, magical morning cruising on Blake Channel.
Meyers' Chuck, AK "public services".

Early morning, Yes Bay on the Behm Canal.

Yes Bay with an exceptionally high tide swamping the trees.

Our "designated' 45th Anniversary Dinner, Yes Bay Fishing Lodge.
Of course the guys at the next table were from Pflugerville!

This is a low tide…along the Behm Canal.

Walker Cove, Misty Fiords National Monument…a rival to Yosemite in the lower 48, we think.

Rudyerd Bay, Misty Fiords Monument

Beautiful light at the head of Rudyerd Bay.

Leaving Misty Fiords and the famous "Punchbowl" in Rudyerd Bay

Eddystone Rock, 230' high piece of rock inexplicably in the middle of the Behm Canal.

A rainbow forms just off Molly Claire's bow…a fitting metaphor for our final night in SE Alaska.
It was indeed a "charmed" visit.
